Papermint is a document scanner that works entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. All scanning, text recognition (OCR), and PDF creation happen locally on your phone. Your documents never leave your device unless you choose to share them.

Information we do NOT collect

• We have no servers and no user accounts — you never register or log in.
• Scanned images, documents, and recognized text are stored only on your device.
• We do not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, location, or personal information.

Permissions

• Camera — used only to capture documents you scan. Images are processed on-device and saved locally.
• Photos / Storage — used only when you import images from your gallery or save/share a PDF. Files stay on your device.

On-device processing (Google ML Kit)

Document edge detection and text recognition (OCR) use Google ML Kit running on your device. The models are bundled in the app or provided by Google Play services and process images locally. Image content is not sent to us.

Purchases

Optional Pro features are sold through Google Play's billing system. Payments are processed by Google; we do not receive or store your payment details. Please see Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles payment information.

Sharing

When you tap Share or Export, you choose where the file goes (email, cloud, messaging, etc.). That transfer is initiated by you and we are not involved in it.

Children

Papermint is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
